Sterling Silver Keum Boo Cufflinks
An eye-catching pair of cufflinks made from sterling silver and 24ct gold foil using the Korean technique of keum boo.
The discs are made from recycled sterling silver, which has been textured with oak leaves, and 24ct gold triangles have been applied.
Each cufflink is 1.8centimeter in diameter, weighs approximately 4g, and is textured with oak leaves, symbolising strength and endurance.
Description
Keum boo is an ancient Korean technique of fusing metals using heat and pressure. I love the effect so watch out for more of it in my shop soon!
Earrings and Pendants to match are also available.
The black colour is a product of oxidation of the silver, to show the gold to its best advantage, but if you would like a more subtle effect the silver can be left silver, just let me know.
