Cotton Linen Lampshade
This beautiful cotton linen lampshade is designed by us in Carmarthenshire and handmade nearby in South Wales. It incorporates a beautiful hand-drawn illustration of bracken, printed on natural cotton linen. It incorporates a beautiful floral hand-drawn illustration (inspired by the Morning Glory ‘Bugle’ flower), printed on natural cotton linen.
About the bugle design: ‘Bugle’ incorporates a tile design by my Great-Aunt Eleanor Greeves, who was a talented artist specialising in screen-printed tiles. We have evolved her original design into a mirrored repeat pattern that works brilliantly for fabric.

The Welsh Otter linen collection: Our range of printed fabrics is designed in-house and inspired by our surrounding countryside, nature, and flora. We create our collections in the heart of rural Carmarthenshire, just outside Llandeilo. The fabric is then printed in the UK, before being turned into cushions, lampshades, and table runners here in South Wales.
About cotton linen: Natural linen is one of the most eco-friendly textiles available, and we love its fine feel and natural colour and texture. It is made from flax plant fibres, and every part of the flax plant can be used to create a product with zero wastage. Our printed collection uses a linen/cotton fabric blend for extra strength and durability.
We use an unbleached version of our luxury cotton linen. It features a plain weave with a slub of linen to provide surface interest and character. As a medium heavyweight fabric, it is suitable for a wide range of soft furnishings such as cushions, curtains, and lampshades. Our designs are printed using water-based pigment inks. This makes it ideal for applications that expose the fabric to direct sunlight as they are inherently UV resistant.
